As a fridge van conversion specialist we were delighted to support this year’s Food Industry Awards which was organised by the Food Management Today Publication and hosted at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington on Friday 3rd February.
The Awards are aimed at recognising success and innovation within the food industry and the winners were chosen through a combination of reader’s votes and judging from a panel of food industry experts. The awards ceremony was hosted by celebrity chef John Torode who presented the 16 winners across the categories together with the range of event sponsors.
We collaborated with the event by sponsoring the Best Frozen Product category, won by Iceland Luxury Surf & Turf supplied by St Merryn Foods.
“It is important for us to be part of industry events willing to recognise the excellent achievements of the many businesses who enter these awards”, comments Rupert Gatty, Manging Director at CoolKit Ltd.
“As a major supplier of refrigerated transport within the food industry, we always aim to make the most of opportunities to network with new and existing customers, in a friendly environment. It is necessary for us as a business to understand industry requirements, changing customer needs and looking for ways to innovate our fridge van conversions to meet customer requirements. What better way to do this then by supporting these events and giving something back to our customers”
Emily Ansell Elfer, Editor of Food Management Today added: “The Food Management Today Industry Awards is growing in popularity year on year and the event and campaign simply would not be possible without the support of our valued partners. CoolKit is renowned in the food industry for its work in the refrigeration sector and we were delighted to have such a respected name partner our Best Frozen Product award this year.”
We will continue to demonstrate our support to the food industry by agreeing to support the awards again for 2018 as well having a presence at the International Food & Drink Event taking place next month at ExCeL London.
We are looking forward to showcase our award-winning Fridge Vans at this year’s IFE 2017 Event, meeting many new contacts within the food and drink industry and catching up with existing customers. The International Food & Drink Event will take place from the 19th-22nd March at the ExCel London, and will see more food and drink suppliers present than any other UK event. Our Fridge Vans will be present in the Meat & SeaFood segment of the exhibition, Stand Number S2440. We will have a Mercedes Sprinter Dual Temperature Fridge Van and a Renault Traffic Freezer Van on display, giving visitors the chance to see the superior quality of our fridge van conversions first hand.
