CoolKit Supports Cool Motion’s Nationwide Refrigerated Fleet Growth
Cool Motion has rapidly established itself as one of the UK’s fastest-growing refrigerated vehicle hire specialists, growing from a five-van operation into a nationwide fleet approaching 400 temperature-controlled vehicles.
Serving customers across pharmaceuticals, foodservice, grocery and general logistics, Cool Motion’s growth has been driven by a philosophy that puts customers first, removes operational risk and never lets a vehicle failure interrupt service.
As demand increased, so did complexity. Multi-drop routes, mixed temperature requirements and tight delivery windows placed greater pressure on the fleet. To maintain service standards at scale, Cool Motion partnered with CoolKit to deliver high-quality, flexible conversions capable of supporting a truly customer-led operation.
Built on reliability and trust
For Hasham Ahmed, UK Business Development Manager at Cool Motion, reliability is non-negotiable.
He said: “Communication has been great and the quality is always brilliant.
“Even when issues come up, we know we can rely on CoolKit to work with us and find the right solution. That confidence matters when your customers depend on you every day.”
That trust was reinforced through a recent order of 50 Mercedes Sprinter L3H2 dual-evaporator vehicles, designed to give Cool Motion’s customers maximum flexibility without compromising performance or uptime.
Flexibility that puts customers in control
Each dual-evap vehicle has been engineered to operate between -25°C and +25°C across two independent compartments, allowing operators to configure frozen, chilled or ambient zones as required.
For customers running varied or unpredictable delivery routes, this adaptability is key.
Devarshi Panchmatiya, General Operations Manager at Cool Motion, explained how this supports a customer-first service model.
He added: “Dual-evap vans give customers real options. They can run frozen at the back and ambient at the front or switch it around depending on the day. It gives them control, flexibility and peace of mind.”
In addition to dual-evap systems, Cool Motion also utilises Melform refrigerated containers, distributed exclusively by CoolKit. These solutions allow for highly localised temperature control, supporting sectors where precision handling is critical.
Designed around real-world operation
Cool Motion’s fleet is not specified purely on technical capability. Operator usability and day-to-day practicality are central to every build.
By working closely with CoolKit, vehicles are designed to be intuitive, robust and suited to demanding delivery schedules. This allows customers, particularly in food distribution and foodservice, to run diverse routes from a single vehicle type, simplifying operations while improving fleet utilisation.
Nationwide coverage with a service promise behind it
With depots in the Midlands, East Midlands Airport, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and customers operating across Northern Ireland, the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man, Cool Motion’s fleet is truly nationwide.
But coverage alone is not what sets the business apart.
Cool Motion operates a zero VOR (vehicle off road) promise. If a customer’s vehicle fails, a replacement is guaranteed within six to 24 hours.
Devarshi continued: “You’ll never be short of a van. Your business keeps moving. That’s the commitment we’re building everything around.”
Delivering that assurance requires conversions that are consistent, durable and supported by responsive aftersales support. CoolKit’s build quality and reliability play a key role in making that promise achievable.
A partnership focused on customers
For CoolKit, supporting fast-growing operators like Cool Motion aligns closely with its own mission.
Cameron Javed, Head of Fleet Sales at CoolKit, said: “Our focus is always on enabling fleets to deliver for their customers. Cool Motion’s customer-first mindset matches our own. Every vehicle we build together helps them remove risk, increase flexibility and deliver confidence to the end user.”
As Cool Motion continues to scale, the partnership with CoolKit remains a core part of its operational backbone. Together, they are building a fleet designed for reliability, flexibility and customer confidence.
CoolKit has the capacity to support large-scale fleet replacement programmes, delivering high-volume refrigerated conversions efficiently and at scale. With forward planning, we ensure volume orders are completed to deadline while maintaining the quality, reliability and uptime that fleets depend on.
