Youngsters playing for two local football teams have been treated to โ€˜coolโ€™ new kits thanks to a Burnley company.

Barnoldswick Town Juniors 13โ€™s and Clitheroe Wolves under 9sโ€™ new kits have been generously sponsored by Burnley business, CoolKit, a specialist in temperature controlled vehicle solutions.

CoolKitโ€™s agency partner, Redfern, also kindly agreed to sponsor the Barnoldswick teamโ€™s training and away kits, giving them the hat trick.

Glenn McCulley, sales and marketing director at CoolKit, said: โ€œIโ€™m a huge supporter of grassroots sports and manage this football team alongside Marcus Sims, as my son Hamish plays for them.

โ€œOur Finance and HR Managerโ€™s son plays for Clitheroe under 9s so we wanted to support them too. We felt that the teams needed a โ€˜pick me upโ€™ amid a year of disruption caused by the virus.

โ€œI remember when I was young, getting a new kit gave you a new confidence and I hope thatโ€™s true for these two team now.โ€

Shaun Grace, one of Barnoldswick Town Juniors FC Chairmen, said: โ€œWe would like to thank CoolKit for their sponsorship of our under 13โ€™s football kit.

โ€œWe are very thankful for their kind donation โ€“ especially during the current climate. All our teams rely on sponsors to provide us with kit and we wear them with pride.โ€

Gary Dixon, Development Officer of Clitheroe Wolves, added: โ€œWeโ€™re really grateful to CoolKit for their support, it means a lot, particularly at a difficult time for our youngsters.โ€
