Youngsters playing for two local football teams have been treated to ‘cool’ new kits thanks to a Burnley company.

Barnoldswick Town Juniors 13’s and Clitheroe Wolves under 9s’ new kits have been generously sponsored by Burnley business, CoolKit, a specialist in temperature controlled vehicle solutions.

CoolKit’s agency partner, Redfern, also kindly agreed to sponsor the Barnoldswick team’s training and away kits, giving them the hat trick.

Glenn McCulley, sales and marketing director at CoolKit, said: “I’m a huge supporter of grassroots sports and manage this football team alongside Marcus Sims, as my son Hamish plays for them.

“Our Finance and HR Manager’s son plays for Clitheroe under 9s so we wanted to support them too. We felt that the teams needed a ‘pick me up’ amid a year of disruption caused by the virus.

“I remember when I was young, getting a new kit gave you a new confidence and I hope that’s true for these two team now.”

Shaun Grace, one of Barnoldswick Town Juniors FC Chairmen, said: “We would like to thank CoolKit for their sponsorship of our under 13’s football kit.

“We are very thankful for their kind donation – especially during the current climate. All our teams rely on sponsors to provide us with kit and we wear them with pride.”

Gary Dixon, Development Officer of Clitheroe Wolves, added: “We’re really grateful to CoolKit for their support, it means a lot, particularly at a difficult time for our youngsters.”
